Factory

Again, all our reptile skins are produced in our wholly-owned Malaysian factory and exported worldwide. We can guarantee our products are made from genuine exotic leather with superior quality and beautiful design as a result of very neat craftsmanship and quality checking. Without doubt, all genuine exotic leather products are produced under the rule and regulation of Convention on International Trade in Endanger Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)

 

Logistics/Customs

Supply Chain Process:

Producer > Tannery > Fashion industry > Consumers

 

CITES and MAQIS will be applied before shipping.

 

CITES Process:

  1. Hunter (farms/hunts reptile skins) – receive license with a set amount of reptiles to hunt (sustainability) from wildlife department of government
    1. Wild and Farmed sources (farm is better)
      1. W Cites = Wild source
      2. C Cites = “Controlled” Farm source
  2. Hunters will sell to our company (Sunny) in Malaysia, etc. 
    1. Put Hunter License on the Cites Quota book 
      1. Example: 50 licenses will become 50 quotas on our cites quota book
  3. After acquiring licenses, we proceed to apply for Cites for customers’ orders
    1. Example: we apply for 400 cites for an order of 400, out of an acquired 1000 hunter licenses. We are left with 600 quotas which has an expiry date of 6 months

 

MAQIS:

 

  1. Apply MAGIS before sending packed goods w/Cites through the airport. Takes 2 days to gain Magis from government. 
  2. Transport to airport via delivery locally.
  3. Broker Firm in Malaysia receives the delivery and are responsible for successful supplying to the transport airp
      1. After passing wildlife inspection from officials, the flight will be scheduled (based on our choice) and it will be en route to customer 
        1. Air Way Bill (AWB) will be issued when the flight is scheduled, by the carrier airline of the goods
  • K2 Form is provided by the Broker. 
  • AWB and K2 both needed to gain CO.

CO:

1. CO will be issued and will apply to the relevant department of the destination country.

 

Arrival

Tracking and shipping updates germane to selected flight/courier will be provided. Timely delivery will allow the customer to perform QC on their end. If returns or exchanges are needed, terms will be discussed on a case-by-case basis
